Rev. Gordon Raynal
Rev. Gordon W. G. Raynal is an Honorably Retired Teaching Elder (Presbyterian Church USA) and a retired registered nurse. He received his undergraduate education at Clemson University and his graduate degrees from Union Theological Seminary in Virginia (MDiv) and the Presbyterian School of Christian Education (MA in Christian Education), now combined into Union Presbyterian Seminary. He also has done post graduate historical studies at Northeast Louisiana University, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Winthrop University. Gordon worked as a registered nurse in the field of inpatient psychiatry in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia for thirteen years. He served pastorates in South Carolina, Louisiana, and Virginia from 1982 to 2013. From 2013 until his retirement in 2020 he served as the Stated Clerk of Foothills Presbytery. He has been a member of the Westar Institute since 1995 and has published a number of articles, book reviews, and editorials in The Fourth R since 2009.
